Ground Improvement Method

Ground ImprovementDue to the high demand of land in many cities, poor ground conditions are unavoidable for the development of new infrastructure. As such the Geotechnical Engineer has to adopt a ground improvement method in order to improve the underlying soils. In addition, the loose fill granular soil requires densification to eliminate high elastic immediate settlement as well as to withstand liquefaction upon dynamic forces. DST employees have extensive experience in various types of ground improvement works from planning, design to implementation and performance verifications. DST is an award winning ground improvement designer for a project carried out in Ontario, Canada.

DST is capable of Design and Performance Monitoring and Verification Services for the following ground improvement works:

  • Wick Drain and Preloading
  • Deep Compaction
  • Stone, cement and Lime Columns
  • Deep Soil Mixing
  • Electro-osmosis
