Groundwater & Surface Water Assessments

Site RemediationGroundwater and surface water quality studies are conducted for our clients to meet a variety of project objectives including federal and provincial compliance with environmental site assessment regulations, remediation of contaminated sites, requirements for risk assessments, landfill monitoring, to fulfill provincial Ministry of Natural Resources and Ministry of Environment due diligence and management requirements for development, demolition and roadwork projects. DST has conducted groundwater and surface water quality studies for major mining, for various municipal and federal landfills, federal, provincial, municipal and private clients. These studies range from very small scale studies in private properties to large mining projects and road corridors targeting several bodies of water within the project reach. DST has numerous qualified engineers, geologists, scientists, technicians and technologists that have conducted multiple groundwater and/or surface water studies across the country, including studies in remote and northern regions. We have the ability to collect and analyze groundwater and surface water samples, as well as to calculate groundwater hydraulic conductivity, infer groundwater flow pathways, velocity and direction, and model contaminant plumes.
