Deconstruction, Demolition Consulting & Site Decommissioning

Deconstruction, Demolition Consulting & Site DecommissioningDST has been providing engineering and environmental services for small to large scale demolition and decommissioning projects for over 20 years.  We understand that every demolition project is unique and our experienced team is qualified to manage projects of varying complexity.  Our focus is to implement a more sustainable process of Green Deconstruction to maximize diversion of construction and demolition waste from landfills.

For building demolition projects, DST’s highly skilled staff specialize in environmentally friendly selective deconstruction techniques which emphasize the reuse or recycling of materials.  We have experience with a variety of major institutional deconstruction projects and provide our clients with engineering services through every project stage.  This includes preparation of specifications, project design, feasibility studies, cost estimates, tendering, contractor selection, on site monitoring, verification of waste management, and post deconstruction assessments.

We are able to access a range of environment related liabilities on a site and offer design and monitoring services for site remediation and closure to address existing and future liabilities. Other services that we offer which support our demolition and decommissioning team include blasting, designated substance surveys and abatement programs, environmental assessments, mitigation and management of species at risk commonly found in older buildings, and environmental site assessments.
