Terrestrial Wildlife

Terrestrial WildlifeDST’s team of biologists are experienced in collecting environmental data on terrestrial resources for mine permitting and environmental effects mitigation. Predicting potential impact during the planning phase allows DST to assist in project design improvement. DST’s biologists have extensive experience conducting wildlife surveys, assessments and inventories.

Some of our services include:

  • Inventories and assessments of biological communities
  • Aerial surveys
  • Avian surveys for breeding birds, marsh birds, Species at Risk, owls and waterfowl
  • Amphibian and reptile surveys
  • Ultrasonic monitoring for bats
  • Vegetation assessments such as Ecological Land Classifications and Wetland evaluations
  • Small mammal trapping
  • Detailed habitat assessment and monitoring
