Surface Water & Sediment Quality

Surface Water & Sediment QualityDST conducts surface water and sediment quality studies for our clients to meet a variety of project objectives including baseline environmental monitoring, advanced exploration monitoring, compliance with metal mining effluent regulations (MMER) and closure monitoring. Studies of surface water and sediment quality are designed to fulfil requirements set by federal and provincial regulators. DST utilizes different techniques for sample collection based on the requirements of the project. These studies involve sampling small to large lakes as well as creeks and river systems. Our qualified scientists, technicians and technologists have extensive experience in the collection and analysis of surface water and sediment samples. DST personnel are also experienced in the preparation of reports that meet the federal and provincial requirements that mining projects require obtaining permits and meeting MMER requirements.
