Species at Risk Management

Species at Risk ManagementWe have experience with all aspects of Species at Risk (SAR) management. This includes the preparation of mitigation or avoidance plans, population management studies, and services for Species at Risk Act (SARA) and provincial Endangered Species Acts compliance and permitting. We have experience with SAR habitat delineation and habitat enhancement/restoration, mitigation measures for construction sites and for facility operations, population management (e.g. stocking or in situ protection programs), wildlife road crossing and guide systems, artificial nesting mitigation measures, and compliance services. Our biologists have experience creating and implementing national and provincial standards for species at risk management and mitigation across Canada. We also have experience with SAR permit requirements such as the preparation of Overall Net Benefit permits or the preparation of federal Species at Risk Act authorization requests. DST is a leading provider of first class SAR management and mitigation services.
