Demolition ServicesDST is a leading engineering firm providing specialized expertise in demolition consulting. DST has extensive experience conducting facility decommissioning/demolition projects as the prime consultant, in cooperation with experienced sub-consultants, to the deep satisfaction of our clients.

DST provides prime demolition consulting services through all phases of the demolition project, including: Project Coordination; Feasibility Studies; Stakeholder Briefings; Estimating; Project Specifications and Tender Documents; Regulatory Approvals; Tender Coordination; Pre-condition Surveys of Surrounding Properties; Vibration Monitoring; Contract Administration; Site Supervision; and Contract Closeout.

DST can assist your project team in identifying specific demolition objectives and constraints for inclusion in the specifications, including but not limited to:

  • Demolition waste management
  • Environmental liabilities and constraints, such as hazardous building materials and site contamination
  • Resource recovery opportunities through the identification of materials and equipment which can be reused or recycled to achieve diversion rates required by project specifications or certification standards (e.g. LEED™)
  • Site issues and constraints affecting the demolition (e.g. a project setting within an occupied residential neighborhood)
  • Timelines for planning, specifications preparation, demolition, and clean-up activities
  • Coordination requirements related to occupied spaces, safety, utilities, traffic routes, noise and security
  • Regulatory requirements and best practice guidelines applicable to the project
  • Recommended contractor prequalification requirements

Working closely with all project stakeholders, DST applies proven risk management and Quality Assurance/Quality Control methodologies, which are simple to implement and easily replicated over the duration of the project. These include regular on-site supervision and inspections, dependable and relevant client communications through a single project manager, and involvement of experienced senior personnel from project inception to successful completion.
