Blasting Training and Awareness

In an industry such as blasting, education and training of blasting personnel as well as the general public is of utmost importance to maximize safety and productivity, while reducing the possibility of damage claims and unwanted impact on surrounding areas. DST offers training in all aspects of blasting to clients to ensure their employees are able to perform at the highest levels with knowledge of new and innovative technologies available in the blasting industry.

We offer training in:

  • Blasting safety
  • Properties and classification of different explosives
  • Use of different initiation systems
  • Blasting techniques

Due to blasting’s negative reputation, the ability to properly inform the public of the safety and necessity of blasting projects has recently been brought to the forefront of our industry. As an answer to this need, DST has worked with many clients to help them effectively manage public relations for blasting projects. By providing guidance on presentations to the public, local interest groups and the media, we are able to help our clients ease the concerns of property owners in the areas of various blasting projects resulting in significantly fewer claims related to blasting activities of a project.
