PRE-BLAST & PRE-CONSTRUCTION SURVEYS

demo2Prior to the commencement of mining and construction projects, pre-blast and pre-construction surveys are carried out by an independent firm to record the existing conditions of buildings and structures.

These surveys are carried out in a predetermined area in order to protect building owners, as well as contractors, in the event that a claim for damage due to construction operations is filed. Pre-blast and pre-condition surveys are carried out by our well trained engineers and technical support staff using video cameras with voice recording capabilities and are kept confidential and in our office for seven years.

In addition to the surveys, DST’s expert staff will discuss aspects of blasting, such as procedures and protocols in an effort to raise awareness, ease tensions, and ultimately reduce the potential for blast/vibration related claims.

Upon request, DST is qualified to conduct post-blast surveys on structures in question.

To submit an RFQ for these services or to discuss the required pre-construction survey portion of your project please contact us.
