Young Professionals in St. John’s

Every three years, in conjunction with the annual Canadian Geotechnical Society annual conference, the Canadian Young Geotechnical and Geoscientists Conference occurs. This event brings together young professionals from across Canada for a two-day intensive networking event, allowing delegates to meet colleagues in similar sectors of work and explore their presentation skills.

For the 2019 event, held in St. John’s, New Brunswick, DST sent two delegates, geotechnical engineers Hugh Gillen, P.Eng., P.Geo., and Brennan Bailey, P.Eng. Both seasoned staff members welcomed the professional development opportunity and reflected positively on the experience.

Delegates gathered for a session.
